A champion for a better future in Saint John–St. Croix
Karen Ludwig is a dedicated Canadian educator and business leader with deep roots in New Brunswick. She and her husband, Andrew, proudly call Saint Andrews home, where they raised their two children and are now proud grandparents of two.
In 2015, Karen made history as the first woman elected to represent, then, New Brunswick Southwest in the House of Commons. She was a strong voice for jobs, trade, and economic growth. She protected Canadian industries, addressed the economic impacts of U.S. tariffs, and secured protections for Canadian sectors in trade negotiations.
Karen has a distinguished career in education, economic development and international trade. She was the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Vice-President for Growth Initiatives at Yorkville University. She taught graduate programs at the University of New Brunswick and was a Canadian Commissioner for the Roosevelt Campobello International Park. She has spent her career preparing leaders and businesses to navigate global challenges.
Karen has been a strong advocate for public health. She co-chaired the National All-Party Round Table on Lyme Disease to educate policymakers and build stronger national discussions on prevention, early detection, and treatment.
Now, as Canada faces a new wave of economic uncertainty, Karen is stepping up again. With her background in Parliament focused on Canada-U.S. relations and international trade, Karen will best defend local industries, protect jobs, and support public health. Karen is ready to stand up for her community of Saint John–Saint Croix. She will ensure that local families, businesses, and industries have the support they need to thrive in challenging times.
